Lawrence "Larry" Riccardi of West New York, NJ peacefully passed on January 24, 2025. Larry was born on July 27,1945 in Jersey City, NJ to Leaonard and Angelina Riccardi. Larry worked as an educator, both as a special education teacher and elementary school principal for the town of West New York, NJ. He also served as a Commissioner for the town of West New York from 1983-2011.
Mr. Riccardi has lived on Long Beach Island in Surf City, NJ for the past 14 years. Mr. Riccardi will be remembered for his patience, sense of humor and his ability to always help those in need. He loved restoring his old Packard cars, hanging out with the ROMEO's at Johnny's Cafe, or going to Ken's Kitchen. He enjoyed watching Hallmark and Perry Mason on television, as well as playing the stock market. His door was always open and the coffee was always on at his house.
He is survived by his two children, Jason Riccardi and Beth Ann Wolanski, his daughter-in-law Therese, his son-in-law Daniel and his four beloved grandchildren, Megan, Samantha, Christopher and Jonathan. He is predeceased by his wife, Diane Riccardi.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am, Saturday, March 15, 2025 at St. Mary of the Pines 100 Bishop Ln, Manahawkin, NJ 08050
