Lawrence "Larry" Rufin, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. He was born on November 9, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio, where he spent his formative years and developed his lifelong passion for the city and its sports teams.

Larry dedicated an impressive 45 years of his career to General Motors, working diligently in both Cleveland and Mansfield. His commitment to his work exemplified his steadfast nature and determination, values which he instilled in his family.

Known for his vibrant personality, Larry had a remarkable ability to light up any room with his laughter. He loved telling long jokes and engaging stories that brought joy to those around him. His presence will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

In his leisure time, Larry was an avid bowler, proudly earning a 299 ring that showcased his skill and dedication to the sport. He had a great appreciation for old movies and often enjoyed watching them with his family. Larry also relished spending time with his children and grandchildren, forming lasting memories that they will cherish forever. Alongside his familial duties, he enjoyed playing pool and cards, especially pinochle, allowing him to connect with friends and family alike.

Larry was a devoted fan of all Cleveland sports as well as the Green Bay Packers. In addition to his interest in sports, Larry had a special affinity for woodworking, spending countless hours in his tool room crafting projects that reflected his creativity and resourcefulness.

Larry leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Marti (Nee Novak), and their cherished children: Scott, Laura, Keith, Evelyn, Larry, and Kenneth, along with their families. He is also survived by his sister, Rosemary Rodeo.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Marie, and his sister, Marilyn Zak.

He will be remembered fondly for his warm spirit, life stories, and the deep love he shared with his family and friends. Larry's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his remarkable life.
