Lawrence York, age 57, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, Illinois.
Lawrence was born in Springfield, Illinois, on January 31, 1968 the son of Tommy and Gloria (Hoffert) York.
Mourning his passing are his father, Tom; sister, Joann York; brother, George (Liz) York; and nieces and nephews, Charlotte, Jocelyn, Elise, Matthias, Asa, and Kimball.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria.
Lawrence graduated from Athens High School in 1987.
He served for US Marine Corps.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Private burial will be held at a later date.
