Laylie Gale Tichenor, age 11 months, died in her parents' arms at Cincinnati Children's Hospital on April 30,2025. After struggling with congenital health issues, she passed into the arms of Jesus.
Layle is the daughter of Stephen and Missy Tichenor of Cox's Creek, Ky. She is also survived by her big brother Chayton Tichenor. Maternal grandmother, Angela Medley of Frederickstown. Paternal grandfather, Gary Tichenor of Bardstown. Paternal great grandfather Wendell Ockerman of Bloomfield. 3 Uncles, Adam (Mouser) Medley and Nathan (Natedog) Medley of Frederickstown and Charles (Smoo) Medley of Bardstown. 3 Aunts Sherry Higdon of Louisville, Jo Carol Stephens and Wendy Lewis of Bloomfield and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Debbie Gale Tichenor, maternal grandfather Charles Wayne Medley and paternal uncle Brian Tichenor.
During her brief time on earth, Laylie brought love and joy to her family and to all who were blessed to care for her. She enjoyed listening to music, cuddling with soft toys, her Paci, being sung to and hearing her Mommy and Daddy's voice. She LOVED people and a full room of them! She was a social butterfly giving sweet looks to everyone that came by. Thats why her momma called her "Laylie Bug"! She displayed great determination and strength during her illness. She was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at Barlow's Funeral Home, Thursday May 8, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10 am with funeral services at 12 noon. The family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made for funeral expenses to the Laylie Tichenor account at any Stock Yard Bank and Trust or Venmo https://account.venmo.com/u/Melissa-Tichenor-1
