Lee Thomas Campbell

  Lee Thomas Campbell, age 47, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on July 22, 2024. Born on June 23, 1977, in Mineral Wells, Texas, Lee was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend whose spirit and kindness touched everyone he met.

  Lee grew up in Weatherford where he was employed by O’Reilly Auto Parts for the last 16 years. He graduated from Weatherford High School and spent a brief time in the military before being medically discharged. His career was marked by dedication and hard work, as he held positions such as Assistant Manager and Manager at O’Reilly’s, where he was respected and admired by his colleagues.

  Lee's greatest joy was his family and friends. He loved spending time with those that meant the most to him. Lee was known for his kind heart and unwavering loyalty to friends and family. He was always there to entertain and to make people laugh, even in the toughest of situations. He had a resilient spirit and was a friend to all who knew him.

  In addition to his family, Lee had a deep passion for learning about his heritage which he pursued with enthusiasm. As well as being a movie buff. He also loved time away at the beach or river.

  Lee is survived by his mother, Donna Steed of Weatherford; brother, Talton and his wife, Marie Campbell of Weatherford; sister, Missy Phipps of Flower Mound; sister, Stacy Garner of Longview; nieces: Ashley Sanders, Randa Kirk, Amy Bentley, Natalie, Madeline and Adysson Phipps; nephews: Kyle and Rocco Phipps; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. 

  He was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Campbell; sister, Rhonda Campbell; stepfather, John Steed; as well as many grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

  Visitation will be Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas.

  A celebration of Lee's life will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at North Side Baptist Church, in Weatherford, Texas. He will be laid to rest following the service at the New Gordon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ally’s Wish (allyswish.org) in Lee's memory, reflecting his generous spirit and his dedication to making the world a better place.

  Lee’s legacy of love, kindness, and ability to make people laugh will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
