Lee Allen Miller, age 71, formerly of the Hampton area, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at Accura Healthcare in Knoxville. A private family service will be held at the Phelps Cemetery near Decorah and will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at pierschbacherfuneralhome.com.
Lee was born October 21, 1954, in Decorah, Iowa to Leonard and Helen Miller, the youngest of six children. He grew up in Hampton, Iowa and graduated from Hampton High School in 1972. In high school, Lee worked as a lifeguard in the summer. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. Lee also enjoyed sending greeting cards to his family for all occasions.
In spite of Lee's mental health challenges, Lee always remained kind and grateful for all the kindness extended towards him. He loved people and was very sociable. Lee and his family appreciated the excellent care and meaningful friendships he experienced at Accura Healthcare in Knoxville.
Survivors include his siblings: Jane (Frank) Grundmeier, Mary Kramer, Edward (Becky) Miller, and Anne (Steve) Paullus; 11 nieces and nephews; and 20 great nieces and nephews; along with other extended family and friends.
Preceding Lee in death are his parents: Leonard and Helen; brother, Charles Miller; "favorite" brother-in-law, Yale Kramer; and infant nephew, Wade Grundmeier. To send flowers to the family of Lee, please visit our floral store.
