Lee Samuel Roach, Sr. affectionately known as "Bay Brother" was born July 17, 1950 in Jackson, Mississippi to John Roach and Ethel Lee Rand. He was the youngest of 8 children.
Lee attended Murrah High School in Jackson, MS. Soon thereafter, he met the love of his life, Fannie Sallie, while she was visiting her sister's home. Lee was united in Holy Matrimony with Fannie on April 9, 1972. To this union two children were born: Lee Jr. and Felicsha.
Lee worked for Desoto Inc. and Mississippi Marble for years and later retiring from Methodist Hospital where he worked many years in environmental services.
Lee dedicated his life at an early age at St. Matthews M. B. Church in Jackson, MS. Lee loved life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing sports, painting, and fixing pecan pies for the holidays.
On the morning of Monday, June 27, 2022, Lee transitioned into eternal rest while at St. Dominic's Hospital. Besides his parents, John and Ethel Roach, he was preceded in death by two sisters: O'leatha Marie Roach and Jessie Mae Ivy; three brothers: Bennie Roach, Robert Roach, and Charlie Roach; and one grandson, Justin Zion Roach.
He survived by his children: Lee Roach Jr. and Felicsha Roach Green (Kenneth); his grandchildren: Kennedy Green and William Johnson; his siblings: Otis Roach (Gladys) and Elaine Slaughter (Steve); a special friend, Linda; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Viewing will be held Wednesday 07/06/22 from 1-7 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, 07/07/22 at 12:00 noon at Peoples Chapel, 886 North Farish Street, Jackson Mississippi with his final resting place being Natchez Trace Cemetery, Madison, Mississippi.
