Leland Ray Gillilan

Leland Ray Gillilan, age 92, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025. He was born on March 6, 1933, to the late Gertrude and Ralph Gillilan. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn Gillilan, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Leland was the loving father of Peggy (deceased) (Greg) Bucur, Greg (Debbie) Gillilan, Pamela (Russell) Boland, Polly (John) Sanok, and Gary (Alexandra) Gillilan. He was the cherished grandfather of nine grandchildren: Jennifer (Chris) Burns, Jillian (Eric) Donmoyer, Jeremiah (Aimee) Boland, Matthew (Michelle) Gillilan, Elisa (Scott) Benedict, Cody Tyree, Joshua (Heather) Gillilan, Christina Bucur, Zachary Tyree (deceased); twenty great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride. Leland was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen, Wilma, and Eileen. Leland will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the values passed down, and the love that surrounds his family. Visitation is Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070, where the funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM.
