Lena C. (DiMasso) Senk, 98, of Waterbury, CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter J. Senk.
Lena was born in Waterbury, CT on September 20, 1925, daughter of the late Abramo and Elizabeth (DiPietro) DiMasso. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School. Before her retirement, Lena worked as an assembler for Winchester Electronics and General Data Comm. She also worked in the cafeteria at Kennedy High School. Lena was a foster grandmother for the Naugatuck Day Care, worked for the Waterbury YMCA Children's Day Care and for private families. She was a devout catholic and was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She was a member of the Ladies Guild at St. Patrick's Church. She collected bells and loved animals, especially cats. She was a member of the Town Plot Association. She loved spending the holidays with her family and friends.
Lena leaves to cherish her memory, her children, David T. Senk of Clearfield, UT, Edward W. Senk of Waterbury, CT, Donna E. Senk of Waterbury, CT, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Richard J. Senk and her brothers, Thomas J. and Ralph DiMasso.
Arrangements: Lena's funeral will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Thomaston. Calling hours will be held on Monday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
