Lenore had a special relationship and shared many memories throughout the years with grandson Jordan and granddaughter Emma Bean.
Lenore's family wishes to extend their prayers, gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional care and support provided by Heart 2 Heart Hospice of Jackson Michigan & Cascades Care Facility. This care, communication and support was extended to her family members. We are especially grateful for her nurses. Ashley, who was with Lenore from the start is exceptionally kind. Autumn, Angela and Care Aide Bobbie all made this difficult time easier. Aunt Pat Way has been incredibly helpful to Lenore and her family with companionship, appointments, shopping and more. We could not have done this without her.
When you give a loved one a nickname it signifies affection but also a certain level of comfort. It creates a shared narrative between two people, loved ones, family and friends. Lenore was affectingly known as GOO, Nory, the Queen, Queenie, GMA, Lee, Girt, and sissy. She had a unique sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her siblings and the grands.
Serenity surrounded Lenore during the journey home to Heaven she was peaceful and calm. She never did make it to Kathmandu However, at almost 91 years old Lenore always 'did it her way'. Her last words to her beloved grandson Jordan were "When's the funeral?"
"Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him." ~ Psalm 62:5
