Leonard Albert Beaulieu, 95, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather as well a veteran, educator and draftsman.
Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Leonard Albert & Nancy (Slason) Beaulieu-Brunette. Leonard proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps before becoming a dedicated mechanical drawing teacher at Tantasqua Regional High School. Known for his dedication and humor, he inspired students while excelling as a draftsman.
Leonards Catholic faith was central to his life. He lived his life in service to God and was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church. In his retirement, he became an Eucharistic Minister at Our Saviours Church in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
He shared 54 years with his wife, Joyce Francis Beaulieu, raising six children in a home filled with warmth and love. They were able to enjoy many wonderful years of retirement in Cocoa Beach. After Joyces passing, Leonard met Mary Ryan. They were married for 15 years.
Along with his parents and 2 wives, Leonard was predeceased by his sister, Patricia ONeil.
He is survived by six children, Joan Ferrigno & husband John, Cheryl Grindle & husband Robert, Lynn Mason & husband Warren, Sandra Chechette & husband Michael, Michael Beaulieu & wife Mary, and Karen Kater & husband William. Leonard is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many others whose lives he touched with kindness and wisdom.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 6th, 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Springfield, followed by his burial, with military honors, at St. Michaels Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
Leonards life exemplified love, faith, and integrity. He will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, faithful servant.
