Leonard Koplitz Obituary

Leonard Koplitz, 75, son of the late Lester and Valerie nee Koperski; older brother to Donald (Maureen) and Jeffrey; Graduate of Weber High School and earned a basketball scholarship to St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, where he earned a BA. He also earned a MPA from IIT in 1976. He joined Chicago Police force in 1973 and was promoted to sergeant in 1980, retired in 2001. Visitation Tuesday from 10:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 AM at St. Bernadine Church 7246 Harrison St., Forest Park. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery Arrangements entrusted to Gibbons Family Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick Fathers. For more Info 773-777-3944 or www.GFFH.com
