Leonard L. Oshier died July 18th at home with family at his bedside. He was born May 18, 1932, in Anderson, IN.
He attended grade school & high school at St. Mary's School in Anderson, IN. He attended college at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN earning his degree to become a pharmacist.
He served 3 years in U.S. Air Force and was a member of Kiwanis in Anderson, IN and East Ridge, TN. He was a pharmacist for over 60 years. Lastly working at Express RX in Chattanooga, TN.
Leonard was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anderson, IN and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dalton, GA.
He enjoyed golfing, vacations, collecting gnomes, coins, and stamps.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Betty Jean Oshier; parents, Hilda and Leo Oshier; brothers Richard, Bill, Earl; sister Betty Jo Oshier.
Survived by brothers Larry Oshier (wife Leslie) and Danny Oshier (wife Delia). Children: Cheryl Knotts (husband Gary), Bill Oshier (wife Jacqueline), Leonard Oshier II (wife Kim), Michael Oshier, and Pepper Oshier. 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 5 nieces & nephews.
Memorial service August 12th at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 968 Haigmill Lake Rd., Dalton, GA.
Instead of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
