Leonard Leo "Lenny" Schaut

Leonard "Lenny" Schaut Jr. 76, passed away January 29, 2025. He was born January 8, 1949 son of the late Leonard Sr and Edverdena (Behnke) Schaut. On October 19, 1979 he married the former Bonita Thielke and the couple celebrated 45 years of marriage.
Lenny dairy farmed his whole life and did cattle truck hauling. In his later years he worked at McKeefey Trucking and was a security guard at Oneida Casino.
He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, attending horse pulls, joking around with family and friends and making memories hosting parties on the farm. Len will be remembered for his sense of humor, contagious laugh, and many stories that he embellished as time went by. Lenny is survived by, his wife, Bonita; 2 sons, Troy (Kimberly) Schaut and Leonard III (Andrea) Schaut; 3 daughters, Teresa (Tod) Zempel, Tammy (Steve) Kasal and Tricia (Paul) Bort; grandchildren, Haleigh, Alicia, Conner, Levi, Jordan, Brittany, Devin, Brayden, Baxter, Lenny IV, and Jemma; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Remmi, Westin, Colt, Karson, Graham, Avalynn, Raelynn and Wrenlynn; He is also survived by, 2 sisters, Betty (Don) Marquardt and Darlene (Russ) Marquardt.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by, a daughter, Samantha; a grandson, Ryan Zempel; and 2 brothers, Clarence Schaut, Gerald Schaut; and a sister-in-law, June Schaut
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 4th at St. John's Lutheran Church in Grover from 9:00 am until time of services at 11:00 am with Pastor Daniel Sargent officiating. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo. A lunch to follow at Romy's Holiday Inn immediately after. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is serving the family.
