Leoncio Tan Ang, known as Leon, passed away on March 5, 2025, in Hayes, Virginia, at the age of 91. Born in Tabaco, Albay, Philippines, he immigrated to the U.S. in the 1960s to pursue a master's degree in electrical engineering at the University of Pennsylvania.
Leon worked in automotive engineering, retiring after a long career with Bendix and later Siemens Automotive. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, and tinkering. Family was most important.
We will always carry a part of Leon with us, in the lessons he taught us, the love he gave us, and the memories we shared. His legacy lives on with his wife of 54 years, Choyan; their children Jocelyn Kilgore (Matthew), Jennifer Chan (Andrew), and Jonathan Ang (Kendra); and five grandchildren Allison, Michael, Alex, Pippa, and Leo; as well as other family members and friends.
In lieu of funeral services, we ask that all who wish to participate make a donation to the Riverside Hospice Fund (https://www.riversideonline.com/foundation/support-riverside/gift-destinations).
Services under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home & Crematory.
