Lesdia G. Longoria, passed peacefully into eternal life on November 11, 2025, at the age of 91. Lesdia will be remembered for her generosity of time, talent, and treasure, her compassion, and most importantly, her love of church and family.

Lesdia was raised in Alice with old fashioned family values of respect, hard work, honesty, and strong faith. She attended the Alice Independent School District, graduating from William Adams High School class of 1954. She continued her education attending college in Laredo and Alice, earning her associates degree in business. She encouraged and instilled the value and rewards of an education to her nieces and nephews.

Lesdia was a beautiful lady who always looked immaculate; perfect makeup, dress with matching accessories, hair in place, and a smile to complete it all. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and radiated her faith through her actions and deeds.

Lesdia was a devoted nursing home Director who dedicated her life to serving others, making significant contributions in her roles in Decatur, Texas, and Phoenix, Arizona, before finishing her career in the beautiful Rio Grande Valley.

A true humanitarian at heart, Lesdia's passion for caregiving was evident in everything she did. She set examples through her actions and deeds such as volunteering at Alice Christus Spohn Hospital, at church, or wherever needed; never counting the sacrifice and always helping improve the lives of those around her.

Lesdia enjoyed reading, getting involved in politics, and learning about History. She also loved to share the thrill of going on hunting trips with her nephews, embracing the joy of golfing, and fostering her wanderlust through extensive traveling with her family and friends. Above all, she cherished the moments spent in the company of her family and friends, creating memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate to have known and loved her.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at Bay Area Hospital, Cimarron Place Health and Rehabilitation, and Harbor Hospice for the compassionate and loving care they extended to Lesdia. A special acknowledgment goes to Nurse Summer Reagan and staff, who offered exemplary nighttime care during Lesdia’s final days.

Lesdia is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews who will live on by her legacy of kindness and service, as well as by numerous cousins, great-nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Paula Longoria; her infant daughter, Lou Ann Bazan; her sister, Lydia G. Longoria; her brothers, Oscar G. Longoria, BG Longoria, and Ramon Longoria; her sister-in-law, Irma G. Longoria; and nephews, Jesus Robert “Bobby” Longoria and Manuel “Meme” Longoria.

As we bid farewell to Lesdia G. Longoria, we celebrate a life well-lived and a life dedicated to the welfare of others filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Her spirit and commitment to service will always be a guiding light for those fortunate enough to know her.

Lesdia’s family will receive condolences on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Trevino Funeral Home Alice, 120 E. Front St., from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 12:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 1:00 PM to St. Joseph Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 1:30 PM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at San Diego Cemetery #1, in San Diego, Texas, where she will be laid rest in the peace of Christ.
