Coteau – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, in Coteau, for Leslie Dore’ Emonet, 53, who passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.
Rev. Matthew Hebert will be the Celebrant.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Saturday, from 8:00 am until 10:00 am.
A rosary, led by Deacon Durk Viator, will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Friday, at Pellerin Funeral Home.
Leslie was born on March 14, 1971, in Erath, and was a lifelong area resident. A 1989 graduate of New Iberia Senior High, she worked as a case manager for Hub Enterprises. Leslie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, and nana. She loved spending time with her family and friends, the golden girls, from breakfast until lunchtime. Her favorite restaurant was La Hacienda or Mel’s Diner. Leslie loved all bright colors.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Emonet; parents, Renes Dore’, Sr. and Shirley Rodrigue Dore’; children, Lacy Dore’ (Michael), Dylan Emonet (Sasha), and Hayden Emonet; grandchildren, Kaleb Dore’, Karson Dore’, Kaine Jones, and Courtney Emonet; brothers, Dwayne Dore’ (Beverly), and Renes Dore, Jr.; godchildren, Macy Dore’ Mayea, Kayla Boudreaux, and Kacy Folse.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Junius Dore’, Sr, Uline Touchet Dore’, Mary Lucy Rodrigue, and Norris Rodrigue.
Pallbearers will be Dora Emonet, Sebastian Jenkins, Roderick Voisin, Rodney Emonet, III, Dwayne Dore’, Renes Dore’, Jr., Jansen Mayea, and Macyn “Bubba” Dore’.
Honorary pallbearers include Dylan Emonet, Hayden Emonet, and Michael Ventura.
