Lester Mario Douglas III
October 18, 1983 – April 21, 2025
It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lester Douglas III, who left this world far too soon on April 21, 2025, at the age of 41. Born in Guaymas, Sonora Mexico, Lester moved to Southern California just two weeks after his birth, where he would go on to live throughout SoCal, Golden Valley, AZ, Las Vegas; eventually settling in Palm Springs.
Lester was a thoughtful, loving, and genuine soul. His aura was unmistakable, his smile radiant-he had the rare gift of brightening every room he entered. He touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him, offering kindness freely and loving with his whole heart.
Lester died tragically in a traffic accident while riding his scooter to work, a sudden and heartbreaking end to a life lived so vibrantly. Though the shock of his loss is immeasurable, the love he gave and the joy he brought endure in all of us.
He is survived by his devoted parents, two brothers, one sister, his loving partner of 16 years, his best friend, and his cherished little nephew. Each of them carries a piece of Lester's spirit, his laughter, and the beauty of his soul.
Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 3:00pm at:
Wiefels Funeral Home 690 S Vella Rd Palm Springs, CA 92264
The reception will immediately follow at the home Lester shared with Jeff Johnson and Michael Flannigan: 4411 E Sunny Dunes Rd Palm Springs, CA 92264 (A very short walk from Wiefels)
All are welcome to join in honoring his life, sharing stories, and remembering the extraordinary man we were lucky to love.
Lester, your light lives on.
