Lila Ruth Rawlings Reynolds, 69, passed to her heavenly home after a prolonged illness at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born January 5, 1954 to the late Delphas and Betty Ruth Rawlings. Lila was a graduate of Morehead State University. She was a Registered Nurse for over twenty five years and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in child protective services for over a decade. She was a kind and caring woman, whose heart was much bigger than her body. She helped people tirelessly, giving selflessly. She was a true friend to all those in need. She was a kind, gentle, and loving soul. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and watching her grandchildren grow. She found peace in the beauty of nature and outdoors. She was fond of flowers and loved floral arrangements and made beautiful Christmas wreaths. She was a life long member of the United Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed by family and loved ones.
She is survived by two daughters, Delphia Kelleigh Colliver and Emily Rawlings Bilan, one son- in - law James Joseph Bilan; Three grandsons: Matthew Leo Holt, James Delphas Holt and Beckett Adair Bilan and one granddaughter: Lilyana Dale Holt, as well as a sister Felicia Rawlings Mundy and brother -in-law William R. Mundy, and a much loved niece Deegan Adair Mundy and a friend James Hampton as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
At her request, a same day graveside service will be officiated by Rev. Lowell Rice and held at Longview Cemetery in Bethel on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. A celebration of her kindness and life will be announced soon.
