Lillian Elizabeth Kotara

Lillian Elizabeth (Pawlik) Kotara, born March 10, 1933, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2024, in the loving comfort of her home in Adkins, TX. Lillian was born in Karnes County and raised in Falls City, TX. She was a very devoted wife, mother, homemaker and active member of Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig, TX. She was a member of the Rosary Society where her many volunteer efforts were devoted to decorating for Liturgical holidays, baking and cooking for both her church and community. Her interests included family, fishing, gardening and traveling with husband Eugene. She touched the lives of many people with her love and generous spirit.

She is preceded in death by parents Wallace and Justina Pawlik, brothers Anthony Pawlik, Alfred Pawlik and Raymond Pawlik; son, Gary Lynn Kotara and daughter Deborah Kay Kotara. Lillian is survived by her husband of 72 years, Eugene Kotara and their children; Shirley Kotara, Patricia Schiebel (William), Robert Kotara (Darlene), Roger Kotara (Lynda), Allen Kotara (Veronica), William Kotara, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Wilbert Pawlik, Dorothy Johnson along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to her services on Monday, August 19, 2024; Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m., A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. At the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church (14011 FM 1346, St. Hedwig, TX 78152). A 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St.Jerome's Catholic Cemetery, corner of FM 1516 and Real Rd, San Antonio, TX 78220.
