Lillian E. Helm, 83, of Churubusco passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone. Born on August 4, 1942, in Ellenburg, NY she was the daughter of Maurice and Doris (Wainwright) Soulia. Lillian was married to Francis "Bob" Helm on April 5, 1959, in the Chateaugay United Methodist Church. He predeceased her on May 13, 2007. She worked for six years as a home health aid at North Country Home Services in Malone before retiring in 1986 due to her health. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Chateaugay. She also was a volunteer at the Burke Adult Center. Lillian is survived by her six children, Elizabeth and Richard Parent of Chateaugay Lake, Bonnie and Chester Jammer of Brazoria, Texas, Francis (Jake) and Cindy Helm of Churubusco, Maurice Helm of Tupper Lake, Kitty and David Bennett of Angleton, Texas, Brenda and Mike Perreault of Churubusco; grandchildren, Kenny Parent, Trish Cook and her companion, Jason Wild, Francis Lee Helm, Keith and Paige Helm, Cory and Kelly Helm, Ryan and Rachel Helm, Kagan and Marianna Helm, Kristina and Tony Gray, Harley Bennett, Diana and Andrew McCartney, Rodney and Nicole Davis; 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Wheeler and her husband, Walt; brother, Phil Soulia; sister-in-law, Sandy Helm as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents and a grandson, Jeremy Bennett. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. A celebration of Lillian's life will be held on Saturday, August 23 at 12 p.m. at the home of Jake and Cindy Helm, 7173 State Route 11, Churubusco. Donations in Lillian's memory may be made to the Churubusco Fire Department.
