Lillian M. Talbot

Southbridge: Lillian M. (Miskavich) Talbot, 77, of Chartier Lane, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 28th, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester, after a long illness.
She leaves her son, Charles L. Talbot and his wife Monica of Southbridge; her sister, Jean B. Miskavich-Savage of Southbridge; and close friends, Beverly Martel and Diane McNeil. She was predeceased by her former husband, Leonard F. Talbot and her brother-in-law, Robert J. Savage. She was born in Worcester the daughter of the late Charles J. and Emily B. (Janulewicz) Miskavich.
Lillian was the principal of the former Mary E. Wells Junior High School in Southbridge for many years. She later was a Professor at Worcester State University before retiring several years ago. She was a volunteer with the Harrington Hospital Auxiliary and served on the Auxiliary Scholarship Committee. Autumn was her favorite season and she loved Christmas and enjoyed cooking and entertaining. Lillian had a sharp wit and a feisty spirit and above all she loved helping others and went out of her way to help her family and friends. Above all she loved her son Charles with all of her heart and soul and went to the ends of the Earth for him.
Her funeral Mass will held on Thursday, Sept. 5th, at 11:00am at St. Joseph's Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester, will be held at the convenience of the family. A calling hour in St. Joseph's Church will be held on Thursday, Sept. 5th, from 10:00 to 11:00am, prior to the Mass.
