Lillian Holmes Watson

Lillian Holmes Watson, born on December 25, 1932, in Buffalo, NY, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, at the age of 92. Lillian led a life marked by dedication and service. A proud veteran of the United States Army, she continued her commitment to helping others through her work as a teacher, missionary, nanny, and nurse. Her compassion and strength touched the lives of many throughout her varied career. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Bryant Watson, Jr., her parents, Norman and Eva Holmes, and her siblings, Norman Holmes, Marge Dorman, and Jo Holmes. Lillian leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her children, Deborah Holland (Toby), William Bryant Watson, III (Phyllis), Jackie Watson, and John Watson; her grandchildren, Jennifer Dickie, Jessicah Holland, Jamie Holland, William Bryant Watson, IV, and Jake Garland; her great-grandchildren, Mack Dickie, Caitlin Dickie, and Kayleigh Holland; and her great-great-granddaughter, Addison Dixon. Her legacy of love and service will be remembered by all who knew her.
