Linda Elder Aulds, 69, of Lexington, South Carolina, died on August 23, 2025. She was born in Athens, Georgia, on June 27, 1956, to Herbert and Gladys Elder. Linda attended Tennessee Temple University for her bachelor’s and Pensacola Christian College for her master’s. It was at PCC where she met Billy, her husband. Upon graduating, Linda taught at Grace Christian School for several years. The Lord then called Linda, Billy, and their family to the mission fields of Japan and Puerto Rico, where they faithfully served for a combined 18 years. When God called them home from the mission field in 2006, Linda returned to Grace Baptist Church and Grace Christian School, where she taught for many more years. Linda spent the last several years of retirement visiting friends, ministering to senior citizens at church, and loving on her children as the best Momma and her grandchildren as an amazing Nana. Her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was evident in every aspect of her life. To those who knew her, Linda was a prayer warrior, confidant, counselor, encourager, and loving friend. Linda’s legacy of love and caring will live on through her children, grandchildren, and the many lives she touched.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Gladys Elder; her husband, Billy Joe Aulds, Jr.; her sister, Marie Haas; and her brother, Thomas Elder. She is survived by her three children, Stephanie Bennett (Paul), Rachel Cuendet (John), and Micah Aulds; two grandchildren, McKenna and Colton Cuendet; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 30, at Grace Baptist Church in West Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens.
