Linda Lee Barber, 77, of Amsterdam, New York passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, New York.

She was born in Catskill, New York on October 10, 1947 to Allen C. Barber and Geraldine Deyo Barber.

Linda was a 1965 graduate of Bethlehem Central School. She worked for New York State and various local factories, including Coleco and Ward Products. She was previously married to Ralph Salerno, Everett (Butch) Mochrie and Zigmund Poremba.

She enjoyed gardening, dining out, shopping, card games, game shows, soap operas, Sudoku, cruising and spending time with family. Linda will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, making holidays special for her family, her love for cats, kindness, candor and Christian Faith.

She is survived by her children; Tracy (Rudy) Brandon, John Salerno, Angel Mochrie, Rebecca (Darren) Carusone; sister Joan Shoddy; seven grandchildren, Ryan Estrada, Jr., Dylan and Anissa Estrada, Shawn and Brandon Monge, Alexa and Brenna Carusone, and four great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents and brothers, Richard Barber and John Hoffman.

Calling hours will be held from 12:00-2:00 pm Friday, May 23, 2025, at De Stefano Funeral Home, 1414 State Highway Rt. 5-S, Amsterdam. A Service of Remembrance will be at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Anthony Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam, New York.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam and Rochester General Hospital.

Memorial contributions, in Linda's memory, may be made to The American Heart Association at: Celebrate the Life of a Loved One or mailed to: The American Heart Association, National Center, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75231.
