Linda Nell Benett died peacefully with family at her side on February 6, 2024 at the age of 78. Linda was preceded in death by her father Lee Junior Samples, mother Louise Samples, sister Rene Samples, and brother Merle Samples.
Surviving Linda are her husband Douglas, sons Tony Bennett (Barbara) and Scott Bennett (Sonya), grandchildren Heather Love (Bradley) and Mackenzie Bennett, great grandchildren Cameron and Skylar Love, sister Debbie Holtzclaw (Ricky), sister in law Judy Samples, and numerous nieces, nephews and family members.
Linda was born on August 23, 1945 to Lee and Louise Samples. Linda married her husband of 58 years, Douglas, on 8/25/65. They lived together in Forsyth county raising their two sons. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life and supported her husband Douglas with their grading business for many years. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Linda was a faithful member at Crossroads Baptist Church.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and many trips to the mountains and beach, also venturing out to many states with Douglas on their trips out west and up north to see the country. She was kind-hearted, quick-witted, funny, particular, and so loving to her family. She will be missed by many and leaves behind a large void for her family along with great memories and all of the values and lessons she taught them.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA, with Rev. Donnie Nix, Rev. Butch Garrett, and Rev. Brody Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to Cross Roads Baptist Church in Cumming, GA.
