Linda Grace Clardy, 85 of Excello, MO passed away on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, in her home.
Linda was born January 26th, 1940, in Cox, MO. She was the daughter of Gaylord and Lucille Arnett. Growing up in Macon County she graduated high school with high honors. After high school she worked several jobs, one being at the local telephone company where she met her husband Theodore Wayne Clardy. She was united in marriage to Theordore Wayne on June 15th, 1958. They traveled with Teds work starting in Casper, Wyoming. That job led to traveling with Ted for his new career at General Dynamics Astronautics missile sites from 1959-65. Afterwards they moved back to Macon settling at the family farm in Cox, MO to raise their family. Linda with her husband Ted became original founding members of the Missourians Against Hazardous Waste. Then in 1980 Linda and her husband Ted founded Instrumentation Testing and Calibration Inc (I.T.C.I.) traveling and doing start-ups on power plants around the country. She was a long-time member of Farview Christian Church in Cox. Linda was also a long-time supporter of the Macon Historical Society.
She was a very talented artist who loved to paint in all media. Watercolor, chalk, ceramics, flower arrangements, and cake decorating. She was meticulous with all detail, which reflected in her beautifully decorated home.
She is survived by her son Donald Clardy (Denise). Tammie Clardy (Joe Watts), and foster son Allen Simmons (Verna). Her six grandchildren Carly Clardy, Garret Clardy, Kaeleigh Ray, Jaden Ray, Dakota Simmons, Jason Snarr. She also was survived by several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ted. Her parents Gaylord, and Lucille. Her infante brother Kenneth, Murrel, and Cecil.
The Celebration of life will be at the First Christian Church 806 E Briggs Drive in Macon, MO Saturday September 6th, 2025, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers please make all donations to Fairview Christian Church care of Jeanne Arnett.
