Linda Carol Coffman, born on October 27, 1949, in Scottsville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has left behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to her family and friends.
Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother, finding her proudest accomplishments in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved children, Janet (Robert) Brown, Charlie (Brittany) Key, and Rochelle (Jeffrey) Tomblin, along with her 18 cherished grandchildren, as well as several great-grandchildren. Linda's fur companion, Chloe, was also a source of joy in her life.
Though Linda's heart was filled with love for her family, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Coffman Sr., whose memory she treasured deeply. She was also preceded by her parents, Raymond and Alma Kendall, and Eurene and Willard Kendall, as well as her daughter, Melissa Brown.
In addition to her family life, Linda was an active community member and held membership with the American Legion in Beech Grove, Indiana. Her compassionate spirit and commitment to her community endeared her to many who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation for Linda Carol Coffman will be held on October 14, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A funeral service will follow on October 15, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM, concluding at 12:00 PM, at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the family for the cost of the funeral.
Linda’s loving spirit and unwavering strength will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the legacy she leaves behind.
