Linda Messick Craig, 75, died Saturday, September 28, 2024 at her residence in Lewisburg.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Paul officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. 

The family suggest memorials may be made to Rose Hill Cemetery P.O Box 1511 Columbia, TN 38402. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born July 17, 1949 in Harmony, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Bristol Alexander Messick and the late Connie Paul Messick. Linda graduated from Columbia Central High School in 1968 and received her associate degree in Psychology and Social Services from Vol State Community College. She married Rodney Paul "Ronny" Craig on December 5, 1981 and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2012. Linda had a tremendous love of God and her family and many interests including yard work, birds, bicycling, and spending time with her cat Miss Daisy. For many years she was the secretary for Bills, McGaugh & Floyd Funeral Home in Lewisburg until she retired and turned her passion of collecting antiques into a business having booths at local antique malls, setting up at flea markets and organizing estate sales. She was a long time member of Harvest Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Craig Saucier of Thompson's Station and Suzanne Craig (Kurt) Swanson of Lewisburg; four grandchildren, Jonathan Saucier, Jacob (Hillary) Saucier, Clifford (Gillian) Swanson, Austin (Alyssa) Swanson; a great granddaughter on the way; brother, Ray (Diane) Messick of Columbia; sister, Paula (Dennis) Harris of Nashville; Sister-in-law, Carlene Dillehay Messick of Columbia; brother-in-law, Dr. James (Bobbi) Craig of Minnesota; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and a very special friend Travis Barron of Lewisburg.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Randall Bernard “Randy” Messick.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
