Linda L. Curtis, age 78, of Brimley, Michigan, passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord on July 2, 2023, at her home after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born on June 15, 1945, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to the late John and Lila Pesola.
Linda graduated from Brimley High School in 1963. After graduation and then working for Cloverland Electric, Linda married Harold Curtis and they raised their family in South Gate, Michigan. She returned to Brimley after retirement and enjoyed building a homestead where you would often see her on her big blue tractor, tinkering in her pole barn, and enjoying the outdoors. Linda was the happiest spending time with family, attending church and being a Sunday school teacher. Later in life she enjoyed helping her brother Jason with his logging business, and house-flipping with her brother Randy. Her interests and abilities were vast- from sewing to small engine repair. She lived a full life and had a gentle way about her. She was loved by all that came across her path.
Linda is survived by her two sons, Mark (Elizabeth) Curtis of Canton, Michigan and Gary (Christy) Curtis of Sault Ste. Marie; five grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, Dillon, Amber, and Nathan; siblings, Karen (Tom) Sutton-Boger of Dafter, Michigan, Arla (Jay Lynn) Sutton of Brimley (formerly South Lyon, Michigan), Randy (JoEllen) Pesola of Brimley, and Jason (Lynda) Pesola of Brimley, and a large extended family and many friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Curtis, and her parents.
A small celebration of life with family members and close friends will be held at a later date at a chosen spot along the beautiful Lake Superior shoreline.
Memorial donations may be made in Linda's name to the Eastern Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice (EUPHH&H).
Clark Hovie Galer Funeral Home of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be left to the family at www.galerfuneralhomes.com.
