Linda Anne Dansky, 68, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton, GA. Born on February 13, 1956, in Miami Beach, FL, to King Solomon and Estelle Dansky, Linda lived a vibrant life defined by her entrepreneurial spirit and profound love for animals.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Philip Avery; her mother, Estelle Rohinsky; and her father, King Dansky. She is survived by her son Kevin Bechtold and daughter Katie Torgerson.
Her extraordinary connection to animals manifested in the menagerie she lovingly maintained throughout her life, including a 22-foot ball python named Eric, a pot-bellied pig named Rosy, a goat, tarantulas, bunnies, hamsters, and a 500-gallon exotic fish tank. Her home resonated with the calls of her beloved parrots—Briggs, Pepper, Peaches, Olivia, Woody, and Coco—and was warmed by the presence of her dogs Maggie, Kaley, Lulu, and Shadow.
This passion led her to establish Fish & Feathers, where at one point she successfully had open four stores at one time. With the support of her lifelong best friend of over 50 years, Sabrina Baylee. She personally selected fish from live markets every week and designed nearly 100 unique fish tanks that became a signature feature of her stores. Everyone would talk about how great her pet stores were.
In 2001, Linda relocated to Blue Ridge, Georgia, where she took over Browns Feed on Main Street, continuing her legacy of serving the animal-loving community.
Linda will be remembered for her humor, warmth, and the joy she brought to both people and pets alike. Her entrepreneurial spirit and devotion to animals left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
