Linda Grace DeSimio 74, went home to her Savior on May 27, 2025. Born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 15, 1950, she was the daughter of Arthur and Roberta Eggers.
She graduated from Van Horn High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1968. She joined the United States Navy in November of 1974 and honorably discharged, January of 1976 as a Captains driver.
Her last place of employment was at Dave Cross Motors, where she was a receptionist and retired in 2024. She was a lifelong member of Grace Christian Assembly.
She is survived by her children, Michael DeSimio (and Stephanie) of Kansas City Missouri, Sarah Clark (and David) of Overland Park, Kansas and 4 grandchildren Hannah Sowards (and Ben), Zachary Winkler (and Emily), Faith Hite (and Aaron) and Luke Winkler (and Jessica). She also had 5 bonus grandchildren, Autumn (and Josh Lomax), Matthias and Aidan Desauguste, Jocelyn Mayton (and James) and Matthew Clark.
She adored her 4 great grandchildren, Brantley Hite, Silas Hite, Casper Winkler and Winry Sowards as well as her 2 bonus great grandchildren, Soren Lomax and Parker Mayton.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Arthur and Roberta Eggers and her sister, Rebecca Eggers Jones.
A memorial service will be held on June 8, 2025. Friends and family visitation at 2 o'clock and remembrance at 3 o'clock pm at Grace Christian Assembly, 2309 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64129.
Private inurnment at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda's name, to Grace Christian Assembly or to Disabled American Veterans-By making a gift to DAV you are empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity.
