Linda Elum Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 7, 2024.
Linda S. Elum, 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 6, 2024. She was born in Canton, Ohio on June 19, 1948, to the late Charles J. and Lenora E. (Woodcock) Marlatt. She was raised in Louisville, Ohio.
Linda was a graduate of Louisville High School, Class of 1966, and as a young adult, attended Malone University where she studied elementary school education and participated in cheerleading. Linda was very proud of her Louisville Leopard cheerleading roots, and was known for saying, "My blood runs blue". Her most important work was her children as she devoted her life to raising a loving family. Linda was a dedicated member of the Church of the Lakes and served on the Aultman Woman's Board. She was a friend to many, loved very dearly by all, and will be deeply missed.
Along with her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, F. J. (Joey) Elum.
Linda leaves behind her daughter, Sarah L. Elum; son, Brent J. Elum; sisters, Vicki L. (Don) Lee and Joyce (Vince) Zeno; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and one cherished, ornery, and adoring senior toy poodle, Chloe.
A memorial service will be on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 11:00 am at Church of the Lakes. Friends may call one hour prior.
Flowers for the family may be sent to Church of the Lakes, or in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; the Philomatheon Society of the Blind; or Church of the Lakes.
