Robert W. Russell Jr.

Robert W. Russell Jr. of Louisville, Ohio went to be with his Lord on Monday, November 3, 2025. He was born June 3, 1945 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Robert W. Russell Sr. and LaRue J. Williams. Robert was a 1964 graduate of Louisville High School where he played in the band and sang in the choir. Robert served in the Army from 1964-1967, stationed in Germany, where he was in the 8th Division Band. Robert was very involved in Boy Scouts during his lifetime, having been in Troops 15 & 44 in Louisville. He was active in Youth Fellowship at his church as a counselor, and a life-long member of Christ Church of Louisville. He was a member of the church choir for over 60 years, using his beautiful voice to praise the Lord. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by sister, Charlyn and brother, Dale.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Nancy L. ; sons, Scott (Kerri) and Nathan (Christa); three grandchildren, Taylor, Emily, and Alex; sister, Janet (Robie) Carr; brother Nelson Russell; sister-in-law, Debra; and several nephews. Robert will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends, but there is comfort in knowing he is in heaven with his Lord.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Paquelet Falk Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Grant officiating. Calling hours will be held an hour prior to services. The family would like to thank the staff at Compassionate Care at Woodlawn for the loving care Robert received during his last days. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in honor of Robert to Compassionate Care at Woodlawn or Christ Church 600 E. Gorgas St., Louisville.
