Linda Ester Obituary

Visit the Marlan Gary Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace East website to view the full obituary.
Linda Yvonne Ester was born December 8, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio to Roger and Marian Ester.
Linda was a cook for various restaurants in Columbus. She was a member of the Christ Memorial Baptist Church, where the Rev. E. Richard McDaniels, and Dr. Shedrick L. Fowler, Emeritus were her Pastors. Linda loved the Lord!
Although Linda never married, and had no children of her own, her love for children was profound. She was called "Aunt Mommy" by her nieces, and she spoiled them with love.
Linda was a quiet person, but a kind person. She loved to carve and collect christian art. She also loved her cats. One lived to be 25 years old.
Sister Ester was preceded in death by her parents, Roger Ester and Marian (Downy) Ester; brothers, Roger Ester Jr., and Robert L. Ester.
Left to mourn her, sister, Victoria (Gary) Cox; brothers, James L. Ester and Richard L. Ester; nieces, Nicolletta (Earl) McDonald, Markeitha Scott; great niece, Yasmine Scott, first cousins and friends.
Linda will be missed by all who came to know and love her, but knowing that she is at home with the Lord gives comfort to all of us.
A special thank you to her long-time caretaker, Felicia Anderson.
