New Iberia – A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Linda Faye Maturin, 62, who passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023.
Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Deacon Durk Viator will officiate.
Visitation will be Monday, from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Tuesday, from 8:00 am until 11:00 am. A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Monday.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Maturin was born on January 4, 1961, to the late Gaston “T” and Gloria “Glo Mae” Flores Dupuy. She enjoyed talking on the phone, especially with her sisters, playing pool, watching soap operas and game shows, snacking, cooking for her family, and being surrounded by her family and friends at her house. Linda Faye was known for being sassy, and laughing until she couldn’t breathe. She loved being a wife and mother, listening to music that Joey played, and going to the truck stop.
Survivors include her husband, Ellis J. Maturin, Jr; children, Tommy Dupuy, Joey Maturin (Crystal), Ellis “Bebe” Maturin, III, and Brent Maturin (JoBeth); grandchildren, Trent Dupuy and Delaina LeBlanc; sisters, Connie Domingues (Tony), Debbie Duplantis (David), Barbara Dupuy (Don), and Patricia Touchet (Calvin); and brothers, Mark “Boogie” Dupuy (Dena) and Louis Dupuy (Lydia).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clint Dupuy; and her nephews, Coty Delcambre and Rusty Grow.
Pallbearers will be Brent Maturin, Ellis "Bebe" Maturin, III, Joey Maturin, Lance Laviolette, Shawn Domingues, and Blake Smith.
