Linda Joy Fenn, age 79, of Medina, Ohio, passed away on April 7, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Anton and Josephine (Tresohlavy) Doksansky on May 7, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio. Linda taught Special Education for over 30 years in the Medina and Cloverleaf Districts. She also worked at the Nurtury pre-school and helped jump start Camp Paradise with her husband, Bob. Linda loved serving her community and volunteered at Project MUNCH, Order of the Eastern Star and was an Emeritus board member of Friends of the Cemetery. She attended Medina United Church of Christ, Congregational, and most recently, the Medina East Campus of Grace Church.
Linda grew up in Cleveland and was a proud John Adams High School grad and cheerleader. She earned her teaching degree from Kent State University. Linda had a zest for life and enjoyed reading, gardening and cheering on her Cleveland sports teams. Linda valued family most of all and was an amazing mother, grandmother and wife. She spent countless hours helping out with her grandchildren and was their biggest fan at many plays, concerts, dance recitals, sporting events, and various other activities. Linda especially enjoyed family vacations to the Outer Banks. She was a lifelong learner, and she and Bob loved traveling the world together. She gave her all to everything she did and was a loyal and cherished friend to all that knew her.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Robert Fenn; her loving children, Dan Fenn (Laurel) and Susie Paffumi (Mike); her cherished grandchildren, Josh, Jacob, and Kyle Fenn, and Sammy, Mathew, and Rachel Paffumi; her brother, Alan Doksansky (Florence); her niece, Sarah Gall (Soren); her great niece and nephew, Josie and Nolan Gall; and a lifetime of collected friends, colleagues and students.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256. A Celebration of her Life will be on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina, Ohio.

Dear Bob and Family Members,
While still a young man, so carefree,
I made to God one simple plea:
Please bless me with longevity.

Yet, what instead, He gave to me
Was the loving opportunity
To live my life....Eternally.

Linda has just begun her NEW Eternal life. While we shall miss her loving presence in this life, we look forward to being with that loving presence in another. Please know how much she was loved and shall be missed by us all...until that time.

Even though we didn't get together that often, it was always special to have Linda (and Bob) visit us in Canada. My Special Cousin will be dearly missed.
