Linda Dee Ferrin, age 81 of Republic, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the Republic Rehab and Nursing Home in Republic, MO. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee, IA. Pastor Carmen Stafford will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee, IA. Visitation will be held with family present from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday night at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee. The Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.grenwoodfuneral.com.
Linda Dee Ferrin was born June 10th, 1942 in Superior, Iowa.
She graduated from Estherville High School and went to Secretarial School in the Iowa Great Lakes area. She married Wilbur Ferrin on April 24th, 1966. They lived in Spirit Lake and Iowa City before moving to the Des Moines area from 1970 to 1991. They lived in Richardson, Texas from 1991-1996. In 1996 they moved to Table Rock Lake in Southern Missouri. They enjoyed the lake, Silver Dollar City and attending shows in Branson.
Linda was well known for her baking ability, especially cookies. Every Christmas she made many different kinds of cookies making sure to include the favorites of various family members.
She passed away at Republic Rehab and Nursing, in Republic Missouri at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur, her parents Henry Drexel Griffee and Irma Jane (Below) Griffee. Brothers-in-law Harold Ferrin and Clifford Ferrin.
She is survived by son, Brian Todd Ferrin; daughter, Melissa Sue Ferrin; son-in-law, Marcelino Ramirez Ibáñez; three grandchildren, Gabriela Itavii Ramírez Ferrin, Bianca Joy Ramírez Ferrin, and Drexel Daniel Ramírez Ferrin; three sisters, Gail (Griffee) Danielson, Judy (Griffee) Warrington, and Nancy (Griffee) Anderson; and brothers-in-law, Richard Danielson and Robert Warrington.
