Linda A. Herman, of Medina, NY, entered into rest on Friday, October 10, 2025 following an incredibly brave eight-year long battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. Linda faced every challenge with strength, courage and determination, the same way she lived her life.
Born June 4,1955 in Medina, Linda was a daughter of Richard and Shirley (Stilwell) Mancuso, Sr. She graduated from Medina High School in the Class of 1974. Shortly after, she married her high school sweetheart, Timothy A. Herman on October 12, 1974. She passed just two days shy of celebrating her 51st wedding anniversary. Early on, Linda worked for Beauty Fair in Medina. Starting a family of their own, Linda soon decided to take on the role of stay-at-home mother and homemaker. Her world revolved around the love and care of her family. Linda adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. She had a great maternal instinct and she loved being around babies at any chance she could. She took great joy in taking care of others. Linda loved to cook, and always made enough to feed an army. If you knew Linda, you always knew where you stood with her. She was bold, honest and loyal to her core. She loved deeply, stood firm in her beliefs and always showed up for the people she cared about.
Linda is now reunited with her beloved daughter, Erica Herman, who passed in 2020; and her in-laws, Carl and Sally Herman.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Timothy Herman; her parents, Richard and Shirley Mancuso; daughter, Kelly (Todd) Miller; grandsons, Lucas, Colin, Zach (Kristin) Miller and Josh Miller; great-grandson, Elijah Miller; siblings, Theresa (John) Gurney, Cindy (Dennis) Hunt, Ricky (Cindy) Mancuso, Jeremy (Michelle) Mancuso, Tammy Herman and Tom (Maryann) Herman; and several nieces and nephews.
Linda’s battle is now over. She will be deeply missed, and her spirit, strength and legacy of love live on in her family and friends.
Per Linda’s wishes, there will be no prior calling hours, however, all are welcome to join the family at her Celebration of Life, which will be held on Friday, Oct. 17 at 4PM at the Junior Wilson Sportsman’s Club, 3875 Bates Rd., Medina. Inurnment will be in Boxwood Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
