Mrs. Linda Gail Johnson Coody, age 71, of Hawkinsville, Georgia, passed away surrounded by her family on October 25, 2024, at her residence. Born on May 16, 1953, to the late Charlie and Eloise Johnson, Gail was a Christian and a member of the Baptist faith. She was a retired telephone operator for ComSouth in Hawkinsville, where she dedicated many years of service.
Gail was a loving mother to her son, Raymond (Mandy) Coody, and daughter, Stephanie (Dale) Garnto. She cherished her time with her sisters, Charlene Thomas and Wanda Freeman, and adored her grandchildren, Max Mullis, McKenzie Mullis, Maddie Mullis, Rana Coody, Lacey Asbell, Kaleigh Lewis, and Kenzie Lewis. She was also blessed with a great grandchild, Korbin Wilburn.
Gail was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tommy Franklin Coody, and her brother, Freddie Johnson. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her family and her cats.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. officiated by Dr. Don McClung.
