Linda J. Kauffman, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 4, 2025 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of Ray J. Kauffman, Jr., who died February 27, 2021. Linda was a resident of Keystone Villa at Fleetwood, Blandon PA for the last 3 years; previously a life long resident of Hamburg.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Doris A. (Gruber) Schaeffer, Hamburg; and the late David J. Schaeffer. Linda was a 1978 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. She worked as a secretary
for Children's Services of Berks County; Hillside Landscaping, Hamburg; Attorney Lynn Ober; the District Justice office, Hamburg; and AR Adam & Sons, Hamburg.
Linda and Ray loved nature and animals. They especially liked to drive up north to look for moose, deer and any other kinds of wildlife. Linda, "Aunt Chick", loved spending time with her nephews and niece and always had lots of laughs with them. She never had any children, but gave lots of love to her 4 legged, furry ones over the years. Linda's laugh and her kind spirit will be sorely missed by anyone who knew her.
Surviving in addition to her mother are two sisters: Susan E. (Schaeffer) Balthaser; and Karen M. (Schaeffer) Stasulli, wife of Michael, both of Hamburg; niece: Megan Horn; and four nephews: Nikolas Stasulli, David Keim, Ross Keim and Timothy Stasulli. Linda was predeceased by two sisters: Robin A. (Schaeffer) Nauman and Cathy J. (Schaeffer) Keim.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
