Linda Kay Mitchell, 76, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023.
She was born in Houston on September 14, 1947 to Robert and Ann Mitchell. Linda graduated from South Houston High School before earning an Associates Degree at San Jacinto College. In 1970, she began working for Reed Tool Company in Houston, starting in the tax department and then moving into accounting until her retirement in June of 2009.
Linda was a life-long member of St. Pius Catholic Church in Pasadena. Growing up, she traveled through most of the fifty states, spending summers camping along the Frio River. She was a country music fan, attending music festivals, collecting autographs and vinyl records. She was also a devoted Oilers/Texan and Astros fan. In her retirement, Linda and her sister, Pat, enjoyed traveling, trips to the casinos, and fellowship with several retirement groups in Deer Park and Pasadena.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ann Mitchell; sister, Patricia Shepard; and niece, Teri Snelling. She is survived by her niece and her husband, Tracie and Steve Davis; great-niece and nephews, Kelsey Davis, Jared (Alexandria) Davis, and Tyler Snelling; and great-great-niece, Parker Ann Davis. She also leaves behind her Reed Family and her dear friend, Silva.
Linda will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a jolly person who was loved by all.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Deer Park Funeral Directors with interment immediately following at Grand View Cemetery in Pasadena, Texas.
