Linda Moore Mitchell

Linda Moore Mitchell, age 74, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Atrium Health in Pineville, NC on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Linda was born in Charlotte, NC to Joseph and Colleen Moore on March 3, 1951. She attended South Mecklenburg High School, class of 69'.
Linda is survived by her sons Tracy T. Mitchell (Lori) of York, SC and Michael J. Mitchell (Amanda) of Evans, GA. Her daughter Jennifer M. Lloyd of Charlotte, NC. Her brother Johnny Moore Arab, AL and sisters, Connie Mills and Ann Helms of Charlotte, NC. Her grandchildren Aaron Mitchell, Jake Mitchell, Tristan Lloyd, Kelly Mitchell, Bryan Mitchell, Nicolas Lloyd, Ariel Lloyd, and Kaylee Lloyd. Also her great grandchildren Lealon Mitchell, Caroline Mitchell, Natallie Mitchell, Nathan Lloyd, Stella Lloyd, Xander Lloyd, Brynlee Davis, Harley Mitchell and a great grandson due in May 2026.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Mitchell and her father, Joseph Moore and Mother, Colleen Moore.
Linda worked for American Greetings in Charlotte, NC for many years. Linda also enjoyed working at Kate's Skating Rink and she was also a girl scout leader and den mom. After retirement, Linda enjoyed going on cruises with her family and making numerous memories with her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.
Services will be held at Sharon Baptist Church 6411 Sharon Rd, Charlotte, NC 28210 on Friday, January 9, 2026 with the visitation beginning at 2:15 pm, the funeral service following at 3 pm, and Internment immediately after at Crown Memorial Park in Pineville, NC. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to Sharon Baptist Church and/or American Heart Association.
