Linda Faye Moreland, 71, of Eminence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 12, 1952, to EJ and Betty Miller in La Grange, Kentucky, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose warmth and spirit enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Linda's family was her world; she poured her heart into her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always making them feel cherished. Known for her feisty and outspoken nature, she welcomed every child into her home, creating a nurturing environment filled with love and laughter. Linda’s passion for family gatherings meant there was always a celebration at her table.
Her beloved companion, Ollie, was never far from her side, and her cherished vehicles—a Mustang, Jeep, and F150—symbolized her adventurous spirit, even if she rarely took the wheel. A devoted fan of the Louisville Cardinals, Linda loved the thrill of game day. She also found joy in beach trips, where she would gaze at the ocean, and spent countless hours listening to country music and exploring antique shops.
Linda Faye Moreland will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will forever hold her vibrant spirit and unwavering love in their hearts.
Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas "Tommy" Moreland Jr; parents, EJ and Betty Miller; 2 grandchildren, Jacob Wheatley, and Carissa Wheatley; and 2 siblings, Gerald Miller, and Larry Miller.
Left to cherish her memory, Linda is survived by her 2 children, Paula Wheatley, and Royce Pyron Jr. (Andrea); 5 grandchildren, Hannah Beckley (Michael), Shawn Pyron, Faith Wheatley, Hannah Wheatley, and Wyatt Wheatley; 3 great-grandchildren, Naomi Beckley, Nylah Beckley, and Nalani Beckley; 6 siblings, Clara Wyatt, Katherine Green, Gary Miller, Diane Gammons, David Miller, and Elizabeth Edds; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A celebration of life for Mrs. Linda Moreland will be held at 7 PM, on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens East Funeral Home, 11601 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 2 PM until the time of the celebration of life, at the funeral home.
