Linda B. Saunders (Weiner) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at New Bridge on the Charles in Dedham, MA, on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the age of 84. She was the beloved wife of the late Lester Brodsky, her first love, and for 20 wonderful years, the cherished wife of Herbert "Hank" Saunders until his passing.
Born and raised in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood, Linda graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School and pursued higher education at Northeastern University, followed by a master's degree in psychology from Bridgewater State College. As a dedicated psychotherapist and accredited addiction counselor, she maintained a private practice until her retirement in the late 1990s but continued to offer guidance to those in need throughout her life.
Linda's greatest passions in life were her family, close friends, music, animals, and travel. Together with Hank, she enjoyed extensive travels, with their favorite destinations being Israel, Provincetown, MA, and their timeshare in St. Maarten. Over the years, they lovingly rescued three Great Danes, who were a cherished part of their family.
She is survived by her devoted children, Gary A. Brodsky and his wife Stephanie of Sharon, MA, and Jayna B. Best and her husband Gary of Taunton, MA. Linda was a loving and doting "Bubbe" to her grandchildren Ezra Brodsky and his wife Emily, Hannah Brodsky, Joy Best, Dylan Best and his fiancée Abby Bomberger, Matthew Snover, and Jacob Snover. She was also a proud "Great Bubbe" to her great-granddaughter, Brooke Brodsky and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 8, at 10:30 AM at Schlossberg Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street, Canton, MA with the interment to follow at Shara Tfilo cemetery in West Roxbury.

I first meet Linda 20+ years ago just after she "retired". She wanted to continue to help people grow and share her knowledge, warmth and kindness with the world. I so grateful for being able to know Linda and for conversations and joy we shared.
