Linda Batte Shortes

Linda Batte Shortes 75, passed away on September 15, 2024 in Round Rock, TX. Heaven's gates opened and welcomed the most beautiful angel to join the heavenly choir.
Linda lived her life for God and was a devoted mother to her 4 children, she worked and made life long friends at different jobs including the Social security office, Seminole ISD, and Ector County Commissioner's office but her most precious job of all was being 'Bubbee' to all of her grandchildren! She loved to sing and entertain with a voice that was truly heaven sent! She sang at numerous events and helped lead worship services whenever she could. She loved to play the piano and was a talented writer as well. She had written many columns for local publications and journals.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, J. Cebron Batte and Beatrice Batte and sister, Joyce Batte. She is survived by her brother Jim Batte and wife Sharon, son Zack Shortes and wife Jeannie, daughter April Guynes and husband Bryan, son Bryan Shortes and wife Jesse, son Kyle Shortes and wife Miki. She leaves behind 14 grandchildren and many cousins that she considered to be more like her brothers and sisters.
There will be a Celebration of Linda's life on September 28, 2024 at 3:30pm. This will be held at Grace Christian Church in Odessa, Tx.
