Linda Lea Eddy Slappey, 69 years young, born on September 17, 1955 in Germany. She died on January 21, 2025 at her home. She spent her life dedicated to caring for others. She was an amazing respiratory therapist for over 40 years between Phoebe Putney and Colquitt Regional. She helped thousands of people throughout her career.

Memorial visitation with the family will be held from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Baker Funeral Home.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert "Bob" Eddy and Leanor Nancy Eddy.

 She leaves behind her children's father, Russell Slappey Sr. Her children, Brandi Lindsey and husband Bruce; Russell Slappey Jr. and wife Ashley; Malinda Slappey and husband Danny. Grandchildren, Jacxon Slappey, Bo Slappey, Lee Stough, David Cronk, Waylon Slappey, Hunter Stough, Luke Cronk, and Evelyn Cronk. Her brothers Jerry Eddy and his wife Judy; Robert Eddy and his wife Judy; Baby brother Ronnie Eddy. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

 She spent her time enjoying her grandchildren, bird watching, and gardening. She watched football with the grandsons every chance she had. She enjoyed reading and researching her family genealogy. She touched many lives in different ways. She is very loved. She will forever be missed by all who knew her.
