Lindsey Marie Bickler, 32, Bismarck, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at 11:55pm on January 24th, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Lindsey was born November 7th, 1991, in Bismarck, the daughter of Lee and Debbie (Fischer) Duppong. She was raised and educated in Bismarck, graduating from Bismarck High School in 2010.

Lindsey met her future husband, Gage Bickler, in high school orchestra class and started dating on August 8th, 2008 (8-8-08), one of the most important dates of their lives. They were married August 8th, 2015 with the ceremony proceeding aboard the Fort Lincoln trolley as it drove along the west bank of the Heart River. Most of Lindsey’s time was spent as a mother and wife at home and she greatly enjoyed curating a collection of educational toys and books for her two daughters, Odessa and Geneva. She was a proponent for the arts and created many pieces throughout her life including acrylic paintings, collages, and graphic art pieces done in ink or pencil.

Those who were blessed to encounter Lindsey in their lives were met with a generous display of loyalty and compassion from her. Her kind disposition was shown not only to others but to nature itself through her conservationist approach in life. She respected all people and things with a naturalistic perspective.

Happy to have been a part of all these great memories are these who survive her, including her husband, Gage; daughters, Odessa and Geneva; her parents, Lee and Debbie; one sister, Stephanie (Justin) Loy; one brother, Tanner Duppong; nieces and nephews she loved dearly; and a large supportive network of extended family members, in-laws, and friends.

Lindsey’s family would like to give a sincere thank you to the caring staffs of Mayo Clinic Orthopedic Surgery, especially Dr. Matthew Houdek and Dr. Mohammad Karim and their teams, Mayo Clinic Radiation Oncology, especially Dr. Jessica Wilson and Dr. Ivy Peterson and their teams, the entire Mayo Clinic Palliative Care Team, the stellar team at Sanford Hospice and Home Health, including Nurses Jess, Nathan, Megan, Tracey, Crystal, and CNA Leigh, and for all the prayers and support from family and friends during her illness.

Death is always untimely, but Lindsey passed at peace knowing she is returning to the same matter the all life is made from. She may be visited at St. Mary’s Cemetery, A Celebration of Life followed by a luncheon will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Bismarck on Tuesday, February 6th at 11:00AM.
