Lindy Lear Wall, a beloved member of her community and a devoted mother, peacefully passed away on October 16, 2023, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was born on April 3, 1928, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, to Hattie and George Lear.

Lindy will be forever remembered for her kind and sweet nature. She possessed a gentle soul that radiated warmth and love. Her infectious smile brightened the lives of all who knew her. Lindy had a special term of endearment for everyone she met; she affectionately called them "baby." It was a testament to her caring and compassionate spirit.

After graduating from Carencro High School, Lindy embarked on a life dedicated to service and helping others. She held various positions within the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans organizations. Her commitment to these veterans' groups ran deep as she served as the past president and contributed significantly through her tireless efforts.

Lindy's faith played an integral role in her life. As a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she found solace and strength in her religious beliefs. Lindy actively participated in the church's Relief Society and shared her wisdom by teaching Sunday school.

During her career, Lindy also worked diligently for previous elections in Congress before retiring as a federal employee. Her dedication to public service left a lasting impact on those around her.

While accomplished professionally, Lindy's proudest accomplishments lay within her family. She poured her heart into nurturing and raising her children with utmost love and care. Lindy's unconditional love touched their lives profoundly, leaving cherished memories that will live on forever.

In addition to being a devoted mother, Lindy was an avid seamstress with an extraordinary talent. She lovingly sewed beautiful pieces of clothing for her children throughout their childhoods. The homemade presents she crafted for her family were a testament to her creativity and generosity.

Lindy's memory lives on through her loving family and friends, who were blessed to have known such a remarkable woman. She is survived by her children, Alva Wall Jr., Don Wall (Pat), Ricky Wall (Melissa), and Diauna Foltz (Lee); as well as her grandchildren: David Wall (Stacey), Angela Breaux, Erica Wall, Alicia Wild (John), Aime Saucier (Adam), Haylee Cruse (Jake), Colbie Foltz, and Tasha Hudson (Todd). Lindy's great-grandchildren include John Wild, Landon Wild, Blaise Breaux, Brianna Breaux, Bradlee Wall, Adam Wall, Cory Cheong, Hunter Cruse, Parker Wall, Jessie Wall, and Dylan. She also joins her siblings Garland Lear, Robert Lear, Glavin Lear, Gladys Dupre (Jules), Nellie Graham (Johnny), Eiland Lear (Nelle) in eternal rest. Additionally cherished in her memory is her grandson Bart Breaux and grandson Alva Wall III.
