Linnea M. Johnson, 78, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024 at home in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She was born in Peoria, Illinois on December 28, 1945 to Maurice and Gwendlyn (Farling) Johnson. Linnea grew up in Illinois but spent the majority of her life in Wisconsin. She graduated from Germantown High School.
The word "sweet" described Linnea to a T. She drove school bus for many years and loved to volunteer. She was involved in the distribution of senior meals and United Way. She worked in the kitchen at the YMCA at Camp Minikani and she co-owned an archery shop. Linnea was a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed mentoring the girls at camp.
Linnea loved flowers and butterflies. She was extremely proud of her Swedish heritage, loving the colors yellow and blue, and was very proud of her name. "Linnea" means a flower growing in the mountains of Sweden.
Linnea is survived by her children Kristy (Michael) Zagar and Ryan (Aida) Ojstrsek; grandchildren Megan (Montana), Mike (Whitney), Ian (Abby), Ethan, and Aiden; sister-in-law Ruth Johnson; as well as other relatives and friends.
Linnea was preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Gwendlyn, step-father Charlie, and brothers Tom (Ellie) and Larry.
SERVICES: Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Sunday, January 12, 2024 at Zacherl Funeral Home from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

I met Linnea through the Senior Center. When we visited nursing homes, Linnea was my some time partner. A very sweet lady. Rest in peace, Linnea.
